Dennis Zahn, a life-long resident of the Indianapolis area, is a graduate of Cathedral High School and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marian College and received his JD degree from Indiana University McKinney School of Law in Indianapolis.
Zahn was a criminal defense litigator in both Federal and State Courts since his admission to the bar in 1968. He concentrated his practice in the area of defending major felony offenses of all types and white collar crimes. Zahn also defended many doctors, lawyers, politicians, and other professionals before their respective licensing boards. Zahn represented accused individuals in hundreds of jury and court trials around the State and in the Indianapolis area.
Before his retirement in 2019, Zahn was admitted to practice law before the Indians Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, the United States Circuit Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court.
He was a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association and was on the faculty of the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum, Trial Advocacy Skills College. Zahn was rated A.V. by the Martindale & Hubble Law Directory and was also listed in Woodward White as the Best Lawyers in America from 1993 to the present. Zahn was selected by Indianapolis Monthly magazine as being among Indiana’s Super Lawyers.
